Coollector Movie Database App Reviews

The app has great suport and I was able to add all but 3 movies, which I will be able to add with the next DB update. I like being able to publish my movies to a private webpage.

Purchased this App after reviewing a couple of different apps (price) was a factor, this app is not difficult but is not user friendly and also I specifically was looking for a way to print (which reviews said you could) but so far the only print possibility is to export to a txt file which does nothing more than whatI could do by putting these movies in a Excel file (Actully I could do more)!! really disappointed has a lot of potential but serverly lacking

This app did not have all of the movies that I own in its database. It was out of date and needs to be updated. The description above makes it sound better than it really is. This was a waste of money on my part. Dont make the same mistake.

I was looking for a cool way to database my movie collection other than iTunes. I assumed from the screenshots and description that this would be a useful tool, but instead I was disappointed by a clunky GUI thats basically an IMDB databse in a browser. I think its a good idea, but theres way too may paramters that dont matter and no simplicity involved. Save your $5 for the next version if it (hopefully) improves.

Good app for organizing movies and tv series. It has a problem of crashing a lot when imp[orting movies owned on hard drives. Could use a little more interface options and skins.

I started designing interactive software in 1972, before most people knew what that meant. I will say without exageration that this is one of the best designed pieces of software I have ever used. I suggest that it be studied in Software Design Courses at Universities as an example of how to integrate functionality when and where you need it as you use the program. Best of all it is FUN and does a fabulous job cataloguing my 2800 movies.

Coollector at first blush looks great. However when you go to use it, not so much. The search engine is absolutely horrible. For example, I cannot search Jurassic — it will add “something” to the end of the search like “Attack” which is not what I’m searching for. The database apparently contains NO 3D BluRay. All of my movies are 3D. Therefore, titles like Jurassic World 3D does not exist. Apparently the database also does not contain any Steelbooks so this is definitely not a true collector’s tool. This by itself makes it worthless to me.
